Ajrak has cultural association with the people of Sindh for generations.
Their reverence and passion for Ajrak has kept this extremely labour intensive craft alive in limited pockets of Sindh in Pakistan, Kutch in Gujarat and Barmer in Rajasthan.
This Ajrak has gone through stages of: -
Khumb - Traditional way of washing the cloth cleansing of all impurities with the help of heat and steam generated by fire, duration of process 2 days.
Saaj - Process used to make the fabric softer, more absorbent and ready for printing with help of camel dung, oil and water, duration 5 to 7 days.
The entire process of preparation, printing, resisting, indigo dyeing, washing goes on for several days before the Ajrak is ready to use.

Care Instructions:-
• Wash separately by hand or by machine on gentle setting in warm water.
• Do not soak - No bleach
• Hang to dry inside out or tumble dry on gentle setting
• Iron at medium temperature with or without steam
